My name is Joy Hebert and I am a first grade teacher. This will be my twelfth year at MES and my thirtieth year of teaching! My husband Roger and I are the proud parents of two daughters, both are graduates of MWHS. Elizabeth, my oldest daughter graduated from Baylor University where I also earned my undergraduate degree. Sic ' Em Bears! I also have a Masters in counseling from Houston Baptist University. My oldest daughter attends Rice University to pursue a Master's degree in oboe performance. Eleanor, my youngest daughter, attends Texas A&M in Galveston to study Ocean and Coastal Resources. I know this year will be filled with excitement, learning, and adventure!

PE on Monday and Wednesday
Art on Tuesday
Computer/Science Lab on Thursday
Music on Friday
Lunch 11:05-11:35
Recess 11:35-11:55
conference time 1:15-2:15
My homeroom will be with me until 10:45 for reading, writing and phonics and then change to Ms. Ranshaw for the afternoon for math, science and social studies.

Reading will be assigned daily. Please have your child read and review their sight words on a daily basis. Having your child read frequently will increase their fluency and comprehension skills.
